Moving to tumblr!

So it's gotten to that time where I hardly update this thing anymore and any more often on Tumblr than anything. I've decided to make my blog switch to tumblr. I may post things here every blue moon, but even that is doubtful.

SHCC Halloween mashup

So the still-loved Superhero Cocoa blog is rebooted and going again. They kicked off with a Halloween costume party challenge. The submission pictured above is my Human Torch and Elliot Boyette’s Lobster Johnson!

And below just the stand-alone of Human Torch and a close-up.

Four Rooms

So I got to watching the movie Four Rooms on Netflix. I recognized Tim Roth from Lie To Me and couldn't help but doodle him. But past that, it's worth the watch. Check it out.

There's a movie doodle/tribute from Hunger Games that I've finished inking and have yet to post. That one will be up relatively soon.

Never move. It sucks..

So I feel I should start off with an 'I'm sorry I haven't posted in ages', but it's been nothing but non-stop moving and apartment hunting for about a month now. I'm currently living out of boxes and fending off strep throat at its finest. But in August the regular posting shall resume, I promise! We got approval on the dream apartment so suck it!

I don't have my scanner set up due to the constant moving, so suck it twice over for some of these shit ass iphone uploads.
A doodle for What I Wore Today.

Starbucks sketches, but I kept getting caught. Guess I'm not so sneaky..
And I've never seen Indiana Jones so this is how I envision him.

BFA madness is coming to an end

So I realize I've neglected any info to my bfa on my blog for 2 months now. Well here it goes.

The idea: Using art college as a safety blanket to break down all barriers, discover yourself and then face the real world.
The method: Originally was sought to use a projector, but the gallery space wouldn't allow due to lighting. Thus it turned into light/shadow boxes that project the shadow creatures onto the back of the images.

And after 2 months of working like crazy to get my senior bfa project finished, it feels great to say I have turned it in. But there's still hanging it in the gallery, which is later tonight so it's not over yet.
I'll make another post later with gallery pictures and photos of them hanging with the back lighting on it. Or maybe I'll just edit this one. Who knows.

Edit as promised:

Preface Piece Snippets

So just a test run of our BFA piece. Just something new I'm working with. Inspired by folklore or a little girl born of a snowball and the spring sun.

Still lots to edit, but it's a start. I think I'm sold on the background, not so much the figure nor the blanket.
